The U.S. Open is the United States Open Championship. There are four championship tournaments in golf and the U.S. Open is the second championship. It is sponsored by the United States Golf Association (USGA) and is official event for the PGA Tour and European Tour. The U.S. Open is scheduled so that the final round will be held on Father’s Day.
This year’s event will be held at the Bethpage State Park Golf Course on the Black Course in Farmingdale, NY.
The 2010 U.S. Open will be held at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California (June 17-20). 2011 will be at Congressional Country Club, Blue Course in Bethesda, Maryland (June 16-19).
