The History of Golf

The game we know as golf began in Scotland. There began the concept of a golf club with members and an 18-hole golf course. There are records of playing at St. Andrews in the 1400s. In 1764, the course settled on 18 holes and other courses accepted that as the standard.

There are approximately 30 million golfers in the world.
