The world of golf comes with its own language. I will list some of the more common and usual terms you might hear on a golf course so that you won’t seem like a tourist.
Stroke - a swing at the ball. If you stop the swing before getting to the ball it does not count
Z - does anyone know any good golf terms that begin with Z? Sounds like a contest. I will find a good prize to give out.
