Having a good grip is critical to your over-all game. It should be comfortable. Developing a good grip is important for increasing distance and straightness. Don’t grip too tightly.

The Interlocking grip is the most common.
The club head should be placed square to the target.
The club handle should be held in the left hand so that it is held in the fingers and the palm. A "V" formed by the left thumb and left index finger should be underneath the pad of the left hand so the wrists can hinge properly on the back swing.
The right hand grip should be in the finger of the right hand, with the "V" pointing toward the right shoulder.
Address the ball (“helllloooo, baall” for Honeymooners fans). Your feet are shoulder width apart and balanced. The knees are loose but slightly flexed.
